The Guardian has today reported that the Government plans to introduce a new English language test for skilled migrants from outside Europe such as footballers.
How do you feel about the proposed plans? Do you think that language should be a barrier for footballers? Isn't football a universal language? Let us know what you think by posting a comment below.

I do not agree with foreign players having to talk English to stay in the Premier League, but I do think that there should be a limit on the amount of foreign players are on the pitch at any one time. The premier league is an English establishment and to see the likes of Arsenal with no more than 2 English players on the pitch is ridiculous. Let the teams have as many foreign players as they want but make a rule that there is only a maximum of 4 foreign players on the pitch on each side at any one time. This is far from a racist comment this is based on the fact that the English Premier League should allow the up and coming young English players a chance to show what they can do and this rule would give them more chance of playing.
Let’s face it, you can’t play for England if you are not English so what’s the difference when it comes to the Premier League or any English League for that matter!
